Launching our promotions kit.
More than 900 Scouts and Leaders have already applied to be part of VicJam – and that’s before we launch our Promotions Kit to help you share this huge event with your Group/s.
The kit can now be downloaded here.
It’s 8.9 Gb (including a lot of videos) so choose the right time and place to access it.
It contains all the materials you need to run a successful local VicJam launch for all eligible members of your Group (including linking Cubs who’ll join you

Materials include:
Tips on how to run a great launch
A PowerPoint presentation and script
Videos
Posters (DIY printing)
Fundraising ideas
Your local Group launch
If you haven’t run a local VicJam launch yet, the materials above will be very helpful. But it takes time to organise a successful event
to ensure that all families attend
to rehearse the presentation (you only get one crack at it)
to organise the hall, technology, presenters, printing of posters
and to be prepared with your next steps like program (10 nights camping, including four nights consecutively) and fundraising.
I’d urge you to plan now to run your local Group launch in early Term 2, week 1 or week 2, so your members are signed up well before the May 28 deadline.

Prospective Jamboree Scout Leaders meeting
Thanks to all who attended Saturday’s meeting or watched the livestream of the morning session.
Thanks to Ian Lancaster and his team for organising the day.
We are fortunate in planning this mega-event for Victoria that we can adapt our AJ2022 work of the past few years. That said, there is still much to be done, eg reframing infrastructure and budget, while prioritising program – the experience – for Scouts and everyone else.
Thanks for your patience as we work to finalise some details of VicJam. You will not be disappointed!
